The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology in Alberta, Canada developed the teacher's resource guide for grades one through nine. This 36-page booklet contains activities, resources, photographs and glossary terms related to the major paleontological and geological concepts introduced in the film.
The curriculum-based activities focus on Earth sciences, life sciences and geography while making links with other subject areas such as language arts and mathematics. Guides are available through your local IMAX®, IMAX 3D® or IMAX® Dome theatre.

Before their theatre visit to see T-REX: BACK TO THE CRETACEOUS, invite students to look at the classroom poster and share their ideas about the following questions:
What do we really know about dinosaurs and the amazing era in which they lived?Record their statements on chart paper.
How have people learned about these creatures which disappeared from Earth almost 65 million years before the first humans appeared?
In post-viewing discussion, have students re-read their statements and mark "Fact" beside those that are true and "Fiction" beside those that are false. Students who are especially intrigued by some of the statements could conduct research to find out more.The Ultimate Field Trip Experience
