Canada's Dinosaur Provincial Park is located in and around the dry "Badlands" of Alberta, British Columbia. During T-Rex's time, the area was sub-tropical, like northern Florida is today. Great dinosaurs roamed around lush forests, swamps and warm flowing rivers. These conditions proved perfect for the preservation of the dinosaur's bones after the "great extinction."

Today, the park is famous for its unique terrain and important riverbank, badland and prairie habitats. Of course, the park is most famous for its wealth of animal and plant fossils. Over 150 complete dinosaur skeletons have been found including members of the famed tyrannosaur family. Collections of bone piles called bonebeds abound and illustrate the diversity of life which once lived in the area.

The park invites visitors from around the world to discover the world of the dinosaurs first hand with guided tours, events and visits to the renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum.
